This modern detached bungalow (sleeping 4 people), 80 yards from the seashore with private beach access, is located on a 4-acre croft in the quiet crofting community of Melvaig, near Gairloch.
(Rona and Raasay are identical cottages).
The house overlooks the sea, offering stunning sunsets and views of Skye, Harris and Lewis. The Beinn Eighe Reserve and the Torridon Mountains are just a short distance away from the numerous sandy beaches and bays which are located around Melvaig, Gairloch and Red Point.
The area's attractions include: a swimming pool, whale watching and marine trips, including visits to the puffin colonies on the Shiant islands, salmon, sea trout, brown trout, pike and sea fishing, Bird watching, falconry, golf course and pony trekking. Also, boat trips on Loch Maree to view Viking graves, bike hire, car hire, deer stalking and deer museum, guided hill walks and guided climbing and sea kayaking trips, and Inverewe Gardens, to name but a few. The coastline around Melvaig and to the Rua Reidh Lighthouse (approx. 4 miles) is rugged, a haven for nesting birds, seals, whales and otters.
Our cottages are used by the Whale & Dolphin Conservation Society
to survey whales and other marine life.
Wester Ross is part of Western Europe's largest area of Dark Skies and it is sometimes possible to see the Northern Lights in winter.

The fully fitted modern kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer, washer, tumble dryer, toaster, food mixer etc. plus a good range of cooking utensils.
Rear porch with hanging space for outdoor clothes etc.
A deposit of 30% is payable on booking, with the balance and a good housekeeping retainer due 6 weeks before arrival. Payment by card, cheque or bank transfer. Secure online payment is available - ask us for details.
Sheets, pillow cases, bath and hand towels,
and tea towels, can be provided at an extra
charge. Electricity is metered and the amount
will be deducted from your retainer. The meter
will be read on arrival and departure.
Bookings are from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 9.30am
Parking space for 2 cars by the house.
